The City Manager is appointed by the Vallejo City Council, serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Vallejo and is responsible for advising the Vallejo City Council regarding various issues and council decisions, implementing legislation enacted by the Council and moving forward the Council’s goals and priorities, the administration of City affairs and day-to-day operations, appointing the Assistant City Managers and the Directors of the City’s departments, managing senior city employees, and overseeing all City personnel and all municipal operations.
