FAIRFIELD – The Solano County Board of Supervisors will receive a verbal update Tuesday regarding the Solano360 project and contemplate naming Industrial Realty Group/Jones Land LaSalle as the preferred development team for the project.
Supervisors will also be asked to authorize county staff to negotiate an Exclusive Right to Negotiate Agreement with Industrial Realty Group/Jones Lang LaSalle for the 149 acre mix-used site.
The county’s implementation committee selected Industrial Realty Group/Jones Land LaSalle following an October presentation in which the developer presented a reimaged fairgrounds with entertainment, shopping, a hotel, and studio sound stages.
Solano County Board of Supervisors Chairwoman Erin Hannigan, fellow Supervisor Jim Spering and Vallejo Vice Mayor Hermie Sunga, and Councilwoman Pippin Dew served on the Solano360 implementation committee.
Industrial Realty Group/Jones Land LaSalle’s image for the space also includes a bridge to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, some multi-family housing, and outdoor performing arts theater. The county fair would continue to operate on the site as well.
According to county staff, a term sheet and formal agreements for site development and lease of the space is expected to go before the board next September.
The Solano County Board of Supervisors will meet at 9 a.m. Tuesday inside the first-floor meeting chambers at 675 Texas St. in Fairfield.
